Energy Work
You don't need to know what kind of session you need. That's my job.
People come to me for energy work for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes something specific is happening—a career change, a difficult relationship, anxiety, grief, old wounds that keep showing up, a health challenge or simply a season of enormous change.
Sometimes they tell me, “I just don't feel like myself.”
And sometimes nothing is wrong at all. They simply know how much better they feel when they regularly take time to clear, balance and reconnect with themselves.
You don't need to arrive with the right words, a specific goal or even a clear understanding of energy work. We'll start with what's happening in your life right now and go from there.
What Happens in a Session?
No two sessions are the same.
My work is rooted in more than twenty years of energy work and Reiki practice, but Reiki is only one piece of what may happen during our time together.
Depending on you and what comes forward that day, I may draw from energy and chakra balancing, intuitive guidance, nervous-system and somatic work, polarity balancing, guided visualization, coaching, pattern recognition and spiritual or energetic information.
Sometimes information comes through that feels connected to a past life, a guide or a loved one who has passed. Sometimes the most important thing that happens is recognizing a pattern you've been living inside for years. Sometimes your nervous system simply needs an opportunity to settle.
And sometimes we need to talk.
I don't decide ahead of time what your session should be. I pay attention to you, your energy and what is happening in the room, and we work from there.
In-Person Energy Work
Sessions are available in my quiet, private offices in New Hope and Minnetonka, Minnesota.
We'll usually begin by sitting together for a bit. You get a chance to arrive, leave the rest of your day outside and settle into the space.
Then we'll talk about what's going on.
For some people, the words come pouring out before I even ask. Others need a little time. And some people don't particularly want to talk at all.
All of those are completely fine.
When we're ready, you'll lie fully clothed on a comfortable massage table with pillows, bolsters and blankets. I use music chosen intuitively for the session and may incorporate meditation or guided visualization as well. My priority is creating an environment where you can feel comfortable, supported and safe enough to deeply relax.
During the energy-work portion, I am generally quiet. I'm paying attention, working and taking notes about what I notice or receive.
Afterward, we'll sit together again and go through those notes. There may be intuitive information, something I noticed energetically, a pattern that became clear, practical guidance or something completely unexpected.
You may leave with journal questions, a meditation, something to practice at home, an idea worth exploring or a message that makes something in your life suddenly make a whole lot more sense.
There isn't a template.
There is you, what is happening today, and everything I have available to meet you there.
Virtual Energy Work
Same connection. Different room.
Virtual sessions have become one of my favorite ways to work.
We can begin by phone or Zoom and talk about what is happening, what feels important and where you'd like some support. You can also simply send me a message beforehand if you'd rather not talk much.
From there, the session can unfold in several ways.
Sometimes we talk for much of the session while I use intuitive guidance and energy work to help uncover what's underneath a situation. This can be especially powerful when you're stuck in a decision, business, career, relationship or life transition and can't quite get underneath what is holding you there.
Other times, after we connect, we'll hang up. You'll get comfortable wherever you are, put on music or a meditation if you'd like, and simply receive while I do the energy work from my end.
Distance doesn't change my ability to connect with your energy. In fact, I often receive more information during virtual sessions because of how focused the work becomes.
I take extensive notes as I work. When I'm finished, I'll send you photos of my notes along with a voice message walking you through what I experienced, noticed and received.
Clients regularly tell me they can feel the energy moving even though we're not physically together. They often describe feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, clearer and more grounded afterward.
For me, once I'm working, it feels as though you're right there in the room.
Virtual sessions are also wonderfully practical. You can receive from home, while traveling, during a quiet afternoon, while the kids are sleeping or simply because you'd rather spend your time receiving the work than driving to and from an office.
What Might We Work With?
People bring their whole lives into these sessions.
Low energy. Stress. Anxiety. Relationships. Career changes. Spiritual development. Old trauma and unmet needs. Major decisions. Health challenges. Feeling disconnected from yourself. Repeating patterns you can't seem to change. A desire for energetic clearing. A new beginning that you'd like to support and expand.
Or that incredibly common feeling:
“Something is off. I don't really know what it is.”
That's enough.
Energy work is not a replacement for appropriate medical or mental-health care. It can, however, be a meaningful complement to the other ways you care for yourself.
What Will I Feel?
There isn't one answer.
The words I hear most often immediately after a session are:
“Lighter.”
“Relaxed.”
“Grounded.”
“Clearer.”
“Better.”
Sometimes the shift is immediate and obvious. Sometimes an insight arrives later that evening or several days afterward. Sometimes you simply notice that you're responding differently to something that would normally throw you off.
The work doesn't end simply because you've walked out of my office or we've disconnected from Zoom. Give yourself some room to let things settle.
And if you have an aha moment later, need clarification on something that came through, or want to tell me what happened next—you can reach out.
I love that part, too.
A Little About How I Work
I don't believe in gripping people tightly.
Some people come to see me once because there is one particular thing they need help moving through. Some come periodically when they feel like they need a reset. Some make energy work part of their regular self-care. And I've worked with others for many years as their lives continue to change.
I like to rely on you to recognize when to come in next. However, I'll be happy recommend when I think another session could be helpful. What you choose to do with that recommendation is entirely yours.
My responsibility is to show up fully, pay attention, tell you the truth as gently and clearly as I can, and bring everything I have to our time together.
Then you get to decide what comes next.
